Camp is looking to help reimagine family getaways.

The family-friendly experiential retailer is teaming up with Marriott Bonvoy properties to introduce immersive “Camp Clubs.”  Building off a pilot launched in 2022, the partnership will bring kid-centric, hands-on experiences to Marriott Bonvoy, with the encounters tailored to different age groups, ranging from toddlers to teens.

The first Camp Club will launch in spring 2024 at Marriott Cancun, a new all-inclusive resort in Mexico. Camp Club will roll out to additional all-inclusive Marriott Bonvoy locations throughout 2024. The experience will expand to additional brands within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio in the coming years.

Each Camp Club will be designed with colorful visual graphics, pennants and "disco cabins" that feature floor-to-ceiling sequins. The clubs will themed to fit each resort location, and all experiences will focus on sensory, visual and experiential play. As parents enjoy alone time, Camp Clubs will keep kids busy through engaging games, activities and storytelling by visiting a sports zone and a play area. Clubs will also feature a “Splatter Cabin” where there will be guided arts and crafts workshops, including slime-making lessons at Camp’s signature Schmutz Bar.

"Camp has spent the last five years reinventing what it means to have fun together as a family," said Ben Kaufman, co-founder of Camp. "We are excited to team up with Marriott Bonvoy to bring our memory-making experiences to properties around the world. Parents deserve some quiet time, and kids deserve a space where there are no boundaries to having fun.”

Camp is giving customers in the Washington DC area a sneak peek into the experience. Starting December 8, the retailer’s Tysons Corner Center store, located in Tysons, Va., (just outside of Washington, D.C.) will spotlight the Camp Club’s Schmutz Bar. The DIY slime-making experience will feature colors and scents inspired by the experience opening in Cancun.

The Tyson Corner Center location, which opened in September, is Camp’s ninth store. The retailer, which launched its first store in 2018, currently operates locations across Georgia, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Texas and Chicago, as well as a website.

"With Camp Club, we are offering a vacation experience that truly caters to everyone in the family,” said Jason Nuell, senior VP, premium brands, Marriott International. “While parents relax and enjoy our world-class amenities, their children can have an unforgettable adventure right on the property. We look forward to building on our relationship with CAMP as we continue to reimagine family programming at our hotels and resorts worldwide."
