  • Dita’s leases Manhattan flagship location

    New York — Handcrafted eyewear retailer, Dita, has leased a 1,300-sq.-ft. store at 273 Lafayette Street in SoHo. It will be Dita’s first Manhattan locations and its New York flagship. RKF represented Dita in the transaction, while The Lansco Corp. acted on behalf of the landlord, 157 Prince Street Associates.

  • Restoration Hardware unveils RH New York, The Gallery

    Restoration Hardware’s RH New York, The Gallery in New York’s Flatiron District is open for business. The 19th-century building is located at 935 Broadway.

    With three floors and 30,000 gross sq. ft., the newly expanded gallery is three times its previous size, featuring a dramatic antique mirror-lined grand staircase with custom-designed iron handrails inspired by the late Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa.

  • Furniture retailer Lazzoni opens Manhattan flagship; plans to expand

    New York -- Lazzoni, the international maker of sleek, contemporary furniture, has opened a flagship in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood.

    Highlights of the collection include beds with hidden storage compartments and sofas with easily adjustable backs that can be converted into beds. A launch party is slated for the 5,700-sq.-ft. space in September.

  • LPGA event a cause for donations

    While Walmart and the Walton family were taking heat, again, on the national stage over worker pay and alleged stinginess, it was a different situation in Northwest Arkansas where generosity was in plain view.

    The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is underway at the Pinnacle Country Club and as has been the case in years past the LPGA golf tournament is accompanied by numerous charitable donations.

  • Alibaba to list on New York Stock Exchange

    New York -- China's Alibaba Group Holdings plans to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange, Bloomberg reported. In a filing on Thursday, the company revealed it will use the ticket "BABA."

    Alibaba filed for its IPO in May. The online giant is looking to sell about a 12% stake, the report said. Experts have said it could be the largest U.S. IPO ever.

  • Walgreens opens new flagship in Wrigley Building

    Walgreens has opened a new two-story, flagship drugstore in the north tower of Chicago’s iconic Wrigley Building.

    Assisted by 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly, representatives from the Magnificent Mile Association, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and others, Walgreens executives marked the 27,800-sq.-ft. store’s opening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
