  • Park Meadows celebrates 15 years in Denver

    South Denver’s Park Meadows regional mall is officially 15 years old -- and it is celebrating throughout the month of August with free community entertainment and activities, culminating in a free community pancake breakfast August 30, 2011.

  • Abercrombie & Fitch profit jumps 64%, offers money to ‘Situation’ to stop wearing A&F clothing

    New Albany, Ohio -- Abercrombie & Fitch Co. reported Wednesday that profit for the second-quarter rose 64% to $32 million, up from $19.5 million, on increased demand in the United States and Europe.

    Revenue rose 23% to $916.8 million, as previously reported, and same-store sales increased 9%.

  • Millcreek Mall adds Jos. A. Bank and Fox Head

    Erie, Pa. -- Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Co. said that Jos. A. Bank Clothiers and Fox Head will be opening at the company’s Millcreek Mall, near Erie, Pa., in early November.

    Jos. A. Bank will be located in the Promenade section of the mall. Motocross apparel retailer Fox Head will set up shop on the Macy’s Court.

    Millcreek Mall Complex, in Millcreek Township, Pa., comprises more than 2 million sq. ft. of shopping, lodging, dining and entertainment. 
     

  • Marcus & Millichap announces promotion

    Detroit -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has promoted Simon Jonna to the position of VP investments.

    Jonna began his career with Marcus & Millichap in May 2005, specializing in the sale of retail properties. Most recently, he held the position of associate VP investments.
     

  • CBL & Associates names leasing personnel

    Chattanooga, Tenn. -- CBL & Associates Properties announced that Jimmy Neely and Kyle Capshaw have joined the company's leasing department.

    Neely joins CBL as a senior leasing manager responsible for Hanes Mall in Winston Salem, N.C., and Randolph Mall in Asheboro, N.C. He previously held various positions with Colonial Property Trust of Birmingham, including leasing, development and peripheral property.

  • Marcus & Millichap announces promotion

    Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has promoted Tammy A. Saia to VP investments.

    Saia began her career with Marcus & Millichap in September 2003, specializing in the sale of retail properties. Most recently, she held the position of associate VP investments.

     

  • Nordstrom, Express announce NYC-area stores

    New York City -- Nordstrom announced Monday that its new Treasure&Bond concept will open in SoHo on Friday, according to a report by the New York Times. The boutique-style store, which represents a new market entry for Nordstrom, will be a fraction of the size of a typical Nordstrom department store and all profits will be donated to charity. Merchandise is funkier, but is not discount like its Nordstrom Rack sister. 

  • Sur La Table to open NYC flagship in Hearst Tower

    Seattle -- Cooking retailer Sur La Table said Monday it will open a flagship store in Hearst Tower, New York City, in late 2011.

    The chain’s first NYC space opened in SoHo in 2005 and a second store in the Upper East Side opened in 2010.

    The new store will include Sur La Table’s largest kitchen and cooking class program. Customers will be able to take cooking classes, as well as attend events with media partners and renowned chefs from around the world. Cooking classes are currently slated to start in early December.
