Kmart closing five stores in Ohio

Milford, Ohio Kmart Corp. will close its store in Milford, Ohio, on May 31. This location is one of five the retailer is shutting down in the state.

The closing will eliminate 46 jobs, according to a filing with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Layoffs will begin April 6, with pharmacy employees losing jobs first, and then continue from May 17 until the closing date.

The other Ohio stores being closed at the same time are in Dayton, Cleveland, Wadsworth and Eastlake. The closings will eliminate about 315 jobs in total.
