  • Fresh Thyme plans 50 new stores with Esri

    Redlands, Calif. — Start-up Fresh Thyme Farmers Market plans to open 50 new stores across 12 Midwestern states over the next six years. To find the right locations, Fresh Thyme is using Esri technology and data to prioritize markets and rate, rank and compare potential sites based on geographic and demographi9c analyses.

  • SRS hires first VP in Tampa, Fla.

    Dallas — SRS Real Estate Partners welcomes T. Michael McNamara as first VP in the Tampa, Fla., office. A seasoned commercial real estate veteran with 23 years of experience, he will focus on tenant representation, landlord representation and land brokerage services across Tampa Bay and Central Florida.

    McNamara comes to SRS from Sperry Van Ness where he was a senior advisor specializing in the sale and leasing of retail, office and industrial properties in the Sarasota, Orlando and Tampa Ba markets.

  • Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue to Cortaro Plaza

    Tucson, Ariz. — Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue has signed a lease for a 2,000-sq.-ft. restaurant in Cortaro Plaza in Tucson, Ariz. The new location, the third for the young chain, is expected to open in mid-January 2014. The first two locations are near the University of Arizona and in Sahuarita, Ariz., a Tucson suburb.

    Commercial Retail Advisors represented both the landlord, Cortaro Investments and the tenant, Mama’s Family Restaurants in the lease transaction.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens three new stores, one remodeled store Nov. 8

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods will open three new stores and one remodeled store on Nov. 8. The new stores will be located at Newport Pavilion in Newport, Ky., Bartonsville Square in Stroudsburg, Pa., and South County Mall in South County, Mo.

    Dick’s will also open its newly remodeled store in Saratoga Springs, NY on Sunday, Nov. 10.

    The new stores will mark Dick’s 10th store in Kentucky, 37th store in Pennsylvania, and 13th store in Missouri. Dick’s will operate 555 stores in the U.S. as of Nov. 10.

  • Gander Mountain appoints president & COO

    Gander Mountain has promoted Mike Owens to the position of president and COO. Owens was the company’s EVP and COO since joining in 2009.
     
    “This is an exciting time for Gander Mountain, and we are very optimistic about our future,” said chairman of the board and CEO David Pratt, who has overseen a sizeable expansion in the past 18 months. “In Mike we have a true leader in driving further growth and success for Gander Mountain across our network of stores. I offer my personal congratulations to Mike on a well-deserved promotion.”

  • TJMaxx to Brass Mill Commons in Waterbury, Conn.

    New York -- TJMaxx has signed a lease at the Brass Mill Commons in Waterbury, Conn., according to Charter Realty and Development, TJMaxx’s representative in the negotiations.

    The new TJ Maxx store will be 22,889 sq. ft. and the 26th deal that Charter has leased to TJX. TJMaxx is a division of TJX, which also owns Marshall’s and HomeGoods.

  • Marshalls opens in Washington, D.C.

    Washington, D.C. —Marshall’s has opened its second Washington, D.C. store. According to the Washington, D.C., Economic Partnership, the 28,925-sq.-ft. store is located at the National Press Building at 14th and F Streets downtown. Marshall’s is planning a third location for the Shops at Dakota Crossing in the city’s northeastern quadrant.

  • Lane Bryant opens two new stores, refreshes two stores Nov. 1

    Columbus, Ohio – Lane Bryant opened four new stores on Nov. 1. The stores are located at University Mall in Carbondale, Ill., and Bey Lea Plaza in Toms River, N.J.

    The retailer also opens two refreshed stores on Nov. 1, at Pavilion Center in Dallas and Las Palmas Marketplace Shopping Center location in El Paso, Texas.
