Uniqlo to open first West Coast flagship in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO — Fast Retailing will open its first West Coast Uniqlo flagship store in the Union Square neighborhood of San Francisco.
The 29,000 sq. ft., three-story store is set to open on Oct. 5 at 111 Powell Street. The store will feature high-beamed ceilings, a large basement to roof skylight, an LED-illuminated rainbow staircase and 77 LCD screens lining the perimeter of the store on seven large monitor walls featuring a rotational mix of marketing campaigns and product promotions. In addition the store will feature the company's first "Magic Mirror" technology enabling customers to virtually try on clothes.
