  • Google opens its first-ever branded retail space

    New York -- Yet another online company has entered the physical retail space: Google has opened an in-store shop in Currys PC World, on Tottenham Court Road in London. It is the first time the Internet giant has opened a retail space under its own name, and two additional shops are slated to open later this year, in Currys PC World’s Fulham and Thurrock locations.

    Old Navy is turning to Yahoo and Tumblr with a new digital campaign directed at Millennials.

    The campaign will highlight Old Navy’s newest apparel this spring, and feature tips from the brand’s style ambassadors, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott.

  • Old Navy promotes spring fashions to Millennials via Tumblr, Yahoo

    New York -- Old Navy is promoting its spring fashions with a new marketing campaign running across Tumblr and Yahoo.  Designed to engage Millennial women, the campaign will use Old Navy’s Tumblr page as the content hub and combine native, video and display advertising across Yahoo properties and its extended network.

  • New Lay's chip flavor coming soon to shelves

    Retailers could soon be having to find space on the shelf for a new Lay’s chip as the brand continues its third year of crowd-sourced product development.

    PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division has announced a last call for submissions in its search for the next great potato chip flavor as part of the Lay's "Do Us A Flavor" contest. Fans have until March 30 to submit flavor ideas for the chance to win a $1 million grand prize.

  • 7-Eleven launches mobile loyalty program

    Dallas – 7-Eleven is the latest in a growing lineup of retailers that has entered the mobile loyalty space. Just launched on the 7-Eleven mobile app is 7Rewards, an expanded customer loyalty platform that rewards customers with a free beverage for every six cups purchased.

  • Aerie rolls out selfie promotion

    New York – Specialty retailer Aerie, a subsidiary of American Eagle Outfitters, is capitalizing on the “selfie” craze in its newest promotion. The company has created what it calls the world's largest unretouched selfie and photo shoot as part of its #AerieREAL “Love Your Real Selfie” promotion.

  • From Zales, a promotion fit for a princess

    Fans of Cinderella will have a chance to write their own happily-ever-after with a new digital marketing campaign from Zales Jewelers.

    As part of Zales’ promotion of Disney’s new “Cinderella” movie (out this month), Zales is inviting Cinderella fans to upload a photo with their prince charming to its website (www.zales.com/Cinderella) or on Instagram using the hashtag #ZalesCinderellaPromo. Through a sweepstakes drawing, a grand prize winner will be selected to receive a $10,000 Zales gift card. A first runner up will receive a $1,000 Zales gift card.
