  • Goody to add new styles, designs to Luxe line for the holidays

    ATLANTA — Hair accessories brand Goody is gearing up for the holidays with its Luxe line of hair accessories, which will feature new styles and designs for the holidays.

    The Luxe collection is comprised of four styles: Vine, Deco, Antique and Starburst.  They range from classic to modern and capture the crisp, sleek lines of art deco, the charm and romance of vintage jewels, the whimsy and light of the constellations and the flourishing expressions of vines and blooms.

  • Report: Rite Aid ordered to pay $800,000 settlement

    New York -- A San Diego judge ordered Rite Aid Corp. and its California subsidiary Thrifty PayLess Inc. to pay $800,000 to settle a complaint alleging false advertising, the Associated Press reported.

    Prosecutors claimed Rite Aid led consumers to believe they would pay less for items bought using the company's Wellness Card, the report said. However, they were given a coupon and told it was for a future purchase that would expire and was subject to other restrictions.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us to open in-store holiday shops at Macy's

    Wayne, N.J. -- Toys “R” Us and Macy’s announced Wednesday that the pair will team on a Toys “R” Us Express-branded in-store program slated to open in 24 Macy’s stores during the holiday selling season.

    Beginning mid-October and running through mid-January, the holiday temp departments will operate on a leased basis, will average about 1,500 sq. ft. each and will offer an edited selection of the Toys “R” Us product assortment.

    Evoking traditional, nostalgic holiday flavors and aromas, Duncan Hines already has introduced apple pie and pumpkin spice flavors to the market, followed by the debut of peppermint stick and gingerbread flavor mixes on Nov. 1.

  • 99 Cents Only seeks to bring cheap chic to Rodeo Drive

    COMMERCE, Calif. — Rodeo Drive is the place where Julia Roberts got the last laugh in "Pretty Woman" and the home to some of the most sought-after fashions in the world. But perhaps there is room on the iconic street for a more inclusive retail destination.

    In that vain, 99 Cents Only Stores has issued a press release announcing its search for retail property on Rodeo Drive and is encouraging anyone with information on available retail space on Rodeo Drive is to contact its real estate department.

  • H&M joins NYC skyline with Times Square store

    NEW YORK — H&M will cement its place in New York City with the opening of its 13th store in Times Square.

    The retailer has announced the lease signing for a 42,500 sq. ft. space that will become part of the NYC skyline, complete with 70 ft. by 70 ft. signage at the top of the store.

    The store will feature three floors housing collections for ladies, men and children.

  • Cam Newton scores exclusive collection with Belk

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Belk has  partnered with NFL quarterback Cam Newton to launch an exclusive line of men's apparel.

    The Made Cam Newton collection will first include professional apparel options for men and will expand to include accessories and shoes in fall 2013.
