    NORTHFIELD, Ill. — Kraft Foods Group reported that new product sales, increased advertising investment and improved productivity have contributed to profit gains for the quarter ended Sept. 30.

  • Zale hopes Shaq line is a slam dunk

    DALLAS — Zale Corp. has partnered with Shaquille O'Neal for a new, exclusive collection of men’s jewelry.

    The Shaquille O’Neal Collection will offer a variety of men’s pendants, rings and bracelets. The collection will be offered exclusively in select Zale stores throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and online at Zales.com/shaq, just in time for holiday gift giving.

  • Office Max appoints Walgreens exec as chief marketing and strategy officer

    Chicago -- OfficeMax announced that it has appointed Kim Feil as executive VP and chief marketing and strategy officer, effective Nov. 12.

    Feil will have accountability for all aspects of marketing across the enterprise, with particular emphasis on brand management and evolution of the company's traditional marketing vehicles to new media including digital and social.

    Most recently, Feil served as chief marketing officer and corporate VP for Walgreens.

     

  • Team Target adds Canadian talent

    Target added to its roster of action sports athletes recently with the signing of Canadian freeskier Rosalind Groenewoud.

    According to Target, she is affectionately recognized by many simply as Roz G and is known for her amplitude and large variety of tricks. Widely considered to be one of the most influential halfpipe skiers in the world she joins eight other elite action sports athletes representing Target.

  • Lowe's donates $1M for hurricane relief

    MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s is donating $1 million to disaster relief and rebuilding efforts in communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. Lowe’s will work with its national nonprofit partners to provide both immediate and long-term support to local communities across the Northeast.

  • Koala Kare Products featured on CNN

    New York -- Koala Kare Products, a division of Bobrick, and manufacturers of baby-changing stations and child-seating products, was featured in a segment on CNN entitled: “The battle over diapers in men’s rooms.”

    “It is both amusing and important at the same time as the roles of moms and dads keep evolving,” stated Bonnie Yatkeman, marketing category manager at Koala Kare Products.

  • ABC partners with Target and Neiman Marcus in first-ever advertising integration on hit TV show

    Minneapolis -- Target Corp. and The Neiman Marcus Group will promote their upcoming joint holiday collection by serving as the sole sponsors of the mid-season finale of the hit ABC television show “Revenge.”

    In place of standard broadcast commercials, the retailers are working directly with the creative team of “Revenge” to create original content incorporating the Target and Neiman Marcus holiday collection. The show will air on Nov. 11.

  • Justin Bieber to front Adidas Neo campaign

    HERZOGENAURACH, GERMANY — Adidas has named Justin Bieber as the face of its Neo label.

    As part of his two-year agreement with Adidas, Bieber will make appearances for the label in its major markets throughout 2013 and share its latest news and collections through his vast social media reach. He will front Neo's seasonal campaigns under its "Live Your Style" positioning, with spring/summer 2013 to debut in February.
