  • Post-it sponsors Startup Weekend to help entrepreneurs launch their businesses

    3M brand Post-it is sponsoring Startup Weekend, a program through the nonprofit UP Global that helps entrepreneurs launch their businesses in one weekend.

    As part of this sponsorship, Post-it Brand will provide products to approximately 300 Startup Weekend events throughout the United States. Through this partnership, the Post-it brand will play a vital role in the idea-building and sharing processes among the event participants.

  • Michaels Stores debuts 24-hour online shopping

    Irving, Texas - Michaels has launched its new “inspirational” arts and crafts site that offers 24-hour shopping on any computer, tablet or smartphone. The new site offers project ideas and one-click shopping lists for projects.

    It also features "Favorite Pins" – projects and products that are trending on Pinterest from Michaels.com. During the launch period, Michaels.com will feature 21 days of hourly, daily and weekly online specials.

  • Pinterest testing Promoted Pins with retail brands, including Gap and Target

    New York -- Internet scrapbooking cite Pinterest Inc. is expanding its efforts to allow advertisers pay to more prominently display their pins, the San Francisco-based company announced in a blog past on Monday.

    The company said it is working with a small group of brands to roll out a paid test in its search and category feeds. The group includes Target, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Lululemon Athletica.
     

  • Hollister plans omni-channel summer campaign

    Santa Monica, Calif. - Hollister Co. will open the Hollister House this summer, focusing an omni-channel marketing campaign on a beach house that will run from Memorial Day weekend through early August. The retailer will feature new summer styles and host music performances at the house all summer long, with consumers able to follow through Hollister’s social media channels.

  • Uniqlo to open stores in Boston, Philly markets

    New York - Uniqlo announced it will enter two new markets, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, starting this spring. The Japanese apparel giant will open three stores in the Philadelphia market and six stores in the Boston metro area.  In addition, Uniqlo will open a pop-up shop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, early this summer.

    Uniqlo will enter Pennsylvania with three stores in the greater Philadelphia area:

    • King of Prussia Mall, King of Prussia (May 16)
    • 1608 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia (Oct. 3)

  • Cherry Hill Mall and GoMoto aim to change auto retail

    PREIT has undertaken a three-month partnership with GoMoto, an automotive tech company that aims to change the way people shop for cars.

    Appliance, electronics and furniture retailer Hhgregg is getting a makeover. The brand transformation will encompass all customer touchpoints, including its 228 store locations and online presence. The first phase of hhgregg’s brand transformation launches this week.
