    NEW YORK — Nine West has launched a new YouTube network called Channel 9 that will feature premium programming and user-generated content.

  • Weber launches digital cookbook

    PALATINE, Ill. — Weber-Stephen Products has released its first digital book: "Weber's Time to Grill: Get In. Get Out. Get Grilling," available for download on the iBookstore, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. Written by New York Times best-selling cookbook author and James Beard Award nominee Jamie Purviance, "Time to Grill," released in a soft-cover format in 2011, has sold more than 260,000 copies to date.

  • Study: Discounts as low as 2.5% sway shoppers to leave stores, purchase online

    St. Louis -- Forty-five percent of customers shopping in-store at bricks-and mortar-locations will walk out and complete their purchase online for a discount as low as 2.5%, according to new showrooming research from GroupM Next.

    This number jumps to 60% of shoppers who will leave and purchase a product online for a savings of 5%. When discovering an online discount of 20%, a small percentage of shoppers (13%) stay and complete their purchase in store.

  • Bennigan’s and Brixmor Property Group in partnership to add 30 locations

    Dallas -- Bennigan's Franchising Co. and Brixmor Property Group announced a strategic partnership to add Bennigan's restaurants nationwide into Brixmor's portfolio of shopping centers.

    The partnership will include positioning Bennigan's signs at select existing buildings and pad site locations within the Brixmor portfolio of shopping centers, promoting pre-approved restaurant space and franchise opportunities within the company's targeted growth markets.

  • Giant-Carlisle introduces healthy-food checkout lanes

    RICHMOND, Va. — Eight supermarkets in the Richmond, Va., area are using one of the most important parts of the store to promote healthy eating: the checkout lane.

    Martin's Food Markets, part of the Ahold USA's Giant-Carlisle chain, announced it had partnered with the Richmond City Health District and Greater Richmond Fit4Kids in launching "Healthy Ideas" checkout lanes at the stores. Items will include fruit, nuts, snack packs from the store's Nature's Promise natural and organic section, nutrition bars and 100% fruit juice.

  • Macy's supports March of Dimes with 'Shop For A Cause'

    NEW YORK — Customers who shop at Macy's and Macys.com on Aug. 25 can feel extra good, as the money raised during this charity shopping event will help support March of Dimes, a leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.

  • Uniqlo Pop-Up, San Francisco

    The West Coast is getting its first taste of Uniqlo. The Japanese apparel powerhouse has opened a tech-inspired pop-up store, on Post Street in San Francisco. The temporary store will remain open until the end of September, prior to the opening of the company’s Union Square flagship.

  • Walmart fires holiday 2012 opening salvo

    Walmart will offer its holiday layaway 30 days earlier this year and extend the program to more product categories, the company announced Monday.
