  • Gillette offers chance to win a trip to Super Bowl

    Now that we know the two teams that are heading to Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday, Feb. 2, Gillette is offering a chance for football fans to score last-minute tickets to the big game via Twitter.

    Linebacker Clay Matthews will announce one winner each day via his personal Twitter handle, @ClayMatthews52 between now and Jan. 24.

  • New 99 Cents Only Store to open in Las Vegas

    City of Commerce, Calif. — 99¢ Only Stores will open a new 20,000-sq.-ft. Las Vegas location on Jan. 23. The new store will feature a perishable food department, with produce, dairy and frozen foods.

    The new store will kick off its grand opening celebration by selling Westinghouse 40-in. flat-screen TVs for only 99 cents to the first nine customers in line. In addition, anyone in line by 7:45 a.m. will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win the tenth Westinghouse 40-in. flat-screen TV.

     

  • Build-A-Bear names former Coca-Cola exec as new marketing chief

    Build-A-Bear Workshop has named Gina Collins as chief marketing officer and brand bear. Collins will lead the company’s marketing, public relations, entertainment and creative teams to drive sales growth and profitability.

    She will also be responsible for branding, marketing, public relations, creative, licensing and corporate sales and will report to CEO Sharon John.

  • Hhgregg offers in-store pickup of Apple products

    Indianapolis – Hhgregg is now offering online ordering with in-store pickup for Apple products, including iPhone, iPad and iPod models and Apple TV devices. Customers can pay in advance and not have to go through in-store checkout.

  • ePrize becomes HelloWorld, releases SaaS platform

    Pleasant Ridge, Mich. - Digital engagement firm ePrize today announced a new name, “HelloWorld.” HelloWorld is also releasing a SaaS-based rich engagement platform including the following solutions that can be deployed across microsites, SMS, social, mobile sites, apps and in-store.
