    How many times have each of us been handed leases containing  terms which cause us to   ask , “Where did these provisions come from?” or “This is the first time I’ve seen these stipulations, did the transactions group understand the costs of compliance?” The answer is: probably more times than we’d like to recall.

    TOPEKA, Kan. — Payless ShoeSource has unveiled its fall Incredible Value Everyday Collection -- a refreshed line with a range of footwear for women, men and children including dress, casuals and athletic styles at prices starting at $10 for kids, $15 for women, and $20 for men.

  • Cetaphil sponsors summer program for children with skin disease

    FORT WORTH, Texas — Cetaphil, a brand of cleansers and moisturizers, announced that it is partnering with Camp Wonder, an initiative of the Children's Skin Disease Foundation. Cetaphil will sponsor the organization by donating a portion of the proceeds of a special edition moisturizing cream, available exclusively at Walgreens. The brand is also granting $100,000 to fund camp activities and more. The official partnership kicked off in June, to coincide with the annual Camp Wonder.

  • The Pep Boys names CFO

    Philadelphia -- The Pep Boys has named David Stern as executive VP, CFO, effective Sept. 10.  He will oversee the finance function, as well as technology and corporate development.

    Stern most recently served as executive VP, chief administrative officer and CFO for A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts. Prior to that, he held roles at Coldwater Creek.

  • Hershey sweet on college hoops

    The Hershey Company extended and expanded its NCAA Corporate Partner agreement through 2016.

    The leading North American chocolate company said it extended its NCAA Corporate Partner agreement with CBS Sports and Turner Sports and signed a new sponsorship deal with IMG College that will give the company a larger presence within collegiate sports.

  • Hain Celestial's finance chief to retire

    MELVILLE, N.Y. — Hain Celestial announced that EVP and CFO Ira Lamel will retire from the company.

    Lamel will remain with Hain Celestial until a successor is named and to ensure an orderly transition, according to the company, which has commenced a global search for Lamel's replacement. Lamel, 65, joined the company in 2001.

    PHILADELPHIA — Former A.C. Moore CFO, David Stern, will join Pep Boys as EVP, CFO, effective Sept. 10, where he will oversee the finance function, as well as technology and corporate development.

  • Target adds P!nk album to list of music exclusives

    MINNEAPOLIS — Target has partnered with music star P!nk for an exclusive edition of her sixth studio album “The Truth About Love.” The deluxe edition of the album features four additional tracks and will be offered exclusively at Target stores nationwide beginning Sept. 18. Fans can now pre-order the deluxe edition at Target.com.
