Asian activities to be detailed next week

3/24/2011

Walmart International takes center stage next week with investors, as international division president and CEO Doug McMillon and other members of senior leadership offer insight into operations in China and Japan.

The Walmart hosted event begins Wednesday, March 30, and anyone who wants to watch it live will need to be a night owl due to the time difference. It runs from 1 p.m. to 5:15 in local Shenzhen, China time, which translates to midnight to 4:15 a.m. in the central time zone. The following day won’t be as bad with the event running from 7:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. which means the event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. But that doesn’t really matter since the second day of the event consists of Chinese store tours and will not be Webcast. The first day will though, and the agenda consists of presentations on Walmart Japan, Walmart International, global sourcing and a company financial overview.

Not up for pulling an all-nighter to watch a Webcast about Walmart. No worries. A replay of the event will be available at www.walmartstores.com.
