The once bankrupt and liquidated retailer Linens ‘n Things is poised for a comeback following an acquisition of the brand by Galaxy Brand Holdings.

New York -- Stuart Weitzman, the luxury footwear brand owned by The Jones Group Inc., has appointed Francois Kress to the newly created position of global president.

Kress, formerly president and chief operating officer of The Row (New York), will oversee all aspects of the Weitzman brand’s global retail and wholesale business and he will assume the role of strategic leader for new initiatives and brand extensions.

Michael Jeffries is still CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch. The company has renewed Jeffries’ employment agreement for a second time, with this latest restructured agreement taking effect Feb. 1, 2014, when Jeffries' current agreement expires.

The WhiteWave Foods Company, a leading consumer packaged food and beverage company in North America and Europe, plans to acquire Earthbound Farm, a leading organic food brand, from its existing shareholders led by Kainos Capital and founders Drew & Myra Goodman, for approximately $600 million in cash.

Los Angeles — PizzaRev has completed construction on its sixth location and will open in Burbank, Calif., on Dec. 12. PizzaRev uses custom-built 9,600-pound stone-bed “Fire-Deck” ovens to fry pizzas in less than three minutes.

Tumi Holdings has named Joseph R. Gromek as chairman of the company’s board of directors. Gromek, who joined the board in April 2012, succeeds Richard P. Hanson, who has stepped down as chairman.

Until his retirement in February 2012, Gromek served as president and CEO of the Warnaco Group since April 2003, and as a member of the company’s board. From 1996 to 2002, Gromek served as president and CEO of Brooks Brothers. During the past 25 years, Gromek has also held senior management positions with Saks Fifth Avenue, Limited Brands and Ann Taylor Stores.

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company has turned to Velcro Industries to help it enhance packaging for its Scotts EZ Seed grass seed with Velcro-brand PRESS-LOK closure technology.

The leading marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products and Velcro Industries worked with manufacturer Peel Plastics Products, a recognized leader in product and process innovation, to integrate Velcro Industries' PRESS-LOK closure technology into Scotts' grass seed package.  

New York — Amazon's fresh food delivery service may be expanding to San Francisco, according to published reports.

All Things Digital, a Dow Jones-owned website that reports on technology news, reported on several sightings in San Francisco of AmazonFresh trucks, as well as a recent job posting.
