Target Corp.’s loss is reportedly Walmart’s gain.
William White, a senior VP of marketing at Target, will take the top marketing job at Walmart, effective May 11, reported Bloomberg News, which cited an internal memo.
White, a former Coca-Cola Co. executive, joined Target in 2013 and oversaw category and brand marketing, including the retailer’s “Target Run” campaign.
At Walmart, White will report to chief customer officer Janey Whiteside, the report said. In August 2019, Barbara Messing stepped down as senior VP and chief marketing officer for Walmart U.S. and Walmart eCommerce U.S. after a year on the job.
