BJ’s sets opening date for its first-ever store in Tennessee
BJ’s Wholesale Club will soon enter its 19th state — and the 20th isn’t far behind.
The membership warehouse club retailer said it will open a location in La Vergne, Tenn., on June 14. The store, located 20 miles southeast of downtown Nashville, is BJ’s first in the state of Tennessee, for a total of 238 U.S. locations.
A second Tennessee location is planned for Mt. Juliet. BJ's will enter its 20th state later in the year, when it opens in Madison, Ala. Additional 2023 openings include Johnson City, N.Y., Lewis Center, Ohio; and North Jacksonville, Fla. (In February, BJ's opened in Davenport, Fla., and McDonough, Ga.
As with every BJ’s, the new locations will offer a variety of digital shopping options, including curbside pickup, in-club pickup, same-day delivery and standard delivery. When shopping in-club, members can use BJ’s to scan products as they shop to avoid the checkout line.
BJ’s Charitable Foundation will support the local community through its partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. The foundation is supporting Second Harvest’s Hunger Free Summer initiative, a program that raises awareness of hunger within the community and provides healthy meals to youth who are facing food insecurity as school cafeterias close for the summer months.
