Bed Bath & Beyond is continuing to reshape its C-suite ahead of its acquisition of The Brand House Collective (formerly Kirkland’s).

The company has named Nora Gomez as its new chief merchandising officer. Gomez will oversee Bed Bath & Beyond’s family of brands, aiming to drive unified product strategy and accountability across the entire portfolio. She most recently served as the chief merchandising officer for Nebraska Furniture Mart, which operates five stores across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Texas.

“Nora has proven ability to drive margin expansion, inventory productivity, and customer transaction growth – ensuring that our e-commerce platform and our 250-plus stores deliver on our omnichannel vision for each brand,” said The Brand House Collective CEO Amy Sullivan. “From bedrooms and bathrooms to kitchens, backyards, and kids' spaces, Nora brings the merchandising discipline to deliver quality and value at every price point – understanding that profitable growth happens when you get the whole-home offer right."

Gomez’s appointment is one of many recent C-suite moves for Bed Bath & Beyond. In early December, the company named Glen Cary as the new chief of stores for Bed Bath & Beyond and its family of brands. In late October, Bed Bath & Beyond named Rick Lockton as its new executive VP and chief digital, product and technology officer.

Just weeks ago, Bed Bath & Beyond entered a merger deal to acquire The Brand House Collective (formerly Kirkland’s) for $26.8 million in a move to create an “everything home” company.

The deal, which has been unanimously approved by boards of both companies, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026 pending shareholder approval and the consent of lender Bank of America. The two companies have been working together since September 2024, when Kirkland’s entered into a deal that would result in the return of Bed Bath & Beyond brick-and-mortar stores to the U.S. retail landscape.

"This is a major addition as we enter 2026," said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman and principal executive officer of Bed Bath & Beyond. "Nora brings the operational precision Amy and I are looking for – delivering the right product in the right place at the right time while expanding customer reach, revenue, and margin across every category that supports life inside the four walls of the home and the four corners of the property."

Based in Murray, Utah, Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. owns Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock and Buybuy Baby, as well as other related brands and websites, along with a blockchain asset portfolio.

The Brand House Collective currently operates more than 300 stores across 35 states as well as e-commerce sites.
