The Wendy’s Company is promoting its special “Nuggs Party Pack” offer and taking a subtle dig at its top competitor in the process.

Wendy’s is launching WendysNuggsParty.com, a website which acts as a real-time interactive map that directing customers to their closest participating Wendy’s restaurant serving up its Nuggs Party Pack meal, featuring about 50 all white-meat chicken nuggets.

The Nuggs Party Pack is available every day in select markets and rolling out to more stores across the country. In addition, Wendy’s offers a free six-piece chicken nugget meal with all mobile orders placed every Wednesday.

The retailer enlisted Rashiq Zahid, the web developer of "McBroken," a site that lists McDonald’s sites across the country and tells users whether their ice cream machines are working, broken or “inconclusive,” to develop the Nuggs Party Pack promotional site. When Chain Store Age checked the McBroken site the morning of Monday, May 13, it featured a Wendy’s promotional banner ad at the top of the homepage.

"Wendy's is committed to celebrating our unmatched chicken nugget fandom while also delivering the value our customers have come to expect from us," said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for The Wendy's Company.  "With exclusive deals and even bigger ways to Nugg, our Nuggs Party Pack and Wendy's Wednesdays are all about satisfying our fans' cravings."

"I've always been a big fan of Wendy's but had no idea they offered a party sized version of their nuggets at such a good price," said Rashiq Zahid, web developer of the promotional Nuggs Party Pack site. "I think more people should know about the Nuggs Party Pack, which is why I created the Nuggs Party website in collaboration with Wendy's.  I know fans are going to love it."

Wendy’s pursues gamification

In other promotional efforts, Wendy’s is utilizing the AI-based Punchh solution and Par Technology enterprise support offering to advance its loyalty program with gamified experiences, targeted offers, and exclusive promotions tailored to individual customer preferences.

The retailer hopes to seamlessly integrate AI, gamification and personalization capabilities into its existing app and online ordering systems to create a comprehensive loyalty and customer service program.

Columbus, Ohio-based Wendy's and its franchisees employ hundreds of thousands of people across approximately 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
