U.S. Polo Assn. scores with smart search
The official brand of the United States Polo Association is giving its online product search the power of a fine Arab charger.
U.S. Polo Assn. is deploying the Guided Discovery advanced retail product discovery solution from Canadian artificial intelligence (AI) technology provider Adeptmind. As a result, U.S. Polo Assn. intends to ensure shoppers browsing its e-commerce site find the products they are searching for quickly and with greater accuracy, leading to a more efficient shopping experience online. The retailer is leveraging Adeptmind technology in both its search and category browsing experiences.
“We knew we needed a sophisticated and innovative AI solution to address our site search needs, and help our shoppers find the most relevant products in the fastest way possible, but one that didn’t jeopardize our conversion rate and average order value,” said Jose Nino, VP of global digital strategy for USPA Global Licensing, the company that manages the global distribution of the U.S. Polo Assn. brand. “We believe our partnership with Adeptmind will help take U.S. Polo Assn.’s e-commerce shopping experience to the next level.”
As an indication of the commitment to the partnership, Daniel Hoffstein, VP of e-commerce for JRA Corporation, U.S. Polo Assn.’s licensing partner in the U.S. and Canada, will be joining Adeptmind’s customer advisory board, providing in-depth market intelligence and validation of product roadmaps including new innovations.
U.S. Polo Assn. has been creating a more personalized online shopping experience this year. In January, the retailer integrated the MySizeID widget for men's dress shirt size recommendations through the Shopify platform. MySizeID is a turnkey solution that aids selection of the appropriate apparel size for a specific brand, based on the shopper's real-time body measurements.
