Under-construction Atlanta Metro center announces retail signings
The Medley mixed-use center going up in Johns Creek, Ga. has landed two standout tenants.
Trader Joe’s and Shake Shack are two of five new brands to be announced at the 43-acre development some 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta via Interstate 85.
“The latest retail momentum further cements Medley as a premier destination for fashion, wellness, dining and lifestyle experiences,” said Kimberly Goetz, VP of leasing at Toro Development Company (TDC).
Already on board at the development are a wide range of brands that include Sephora, Stir and Tonic House, Cru Food & Wine Bar, High Country Outfitters, Fogon and Lions, Fadó Irish Pub, Drybar and Bodyrok.
Other new signees announced this week are Kontour Medical Spa, Moop’s Boutique and Northern China Eatery.
Located at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road, Medley will encompass 164,000 square feet of retail, restaurant. and entertainment space situated throughout the project’s public realm.
Medley will contain 833 luxury residences; a 150-key boutique hotel; 110,000 square feet of lifestyle office space, and a 25,000-sq.-ft. plaza.
TDC plans to host up to 200 events per year, ranging from outdoor wellness classes and live music to art festivals and community gatherings.
Kontour Medical Spa provides skin care services with a focus on natural-looking results; Northern China eatery specializes in dumplings and stir-fry dishes, and local north Atlanta brand Moop’s Boutique sells European apparel and accessories.
“As we surpass the 75% leased milestone, it’s clear that both national brands and local concepts believe in our vision of Medley as a connected and vibrant ‘third place,’” said Goetz. “The countdown to Grand Opening is on and we can't wait for the Johns Creek community to experience the energy of Medley’s thoughtfully selected retail mix.”
TDC founder Mark Toro was the driving force behind Atlanta area centers such as Avalon and Atlantic Station when he was the chairman of North American Properties’ Atlanta division.
Medley, Toro’s first major project, expects to open this year in October.
