Uber in restaurant POS partnership
Uber Technologies Inc. is teaming up with a provider of restaurant management solutions and services.
Uber is entering a multi-year strategic global partnership focused on product innovation and go-to-market initiatives with Toast that builds on an existing integration between the two companies. Beginning in the U.S. and Canada, Toast and Uber will combine Toast’s POS offerings with Uber’s delivery operation and technology network.
As part of the global partnership, Toast and Uber will implement their existing Uber Eats, Uber Direct, and Toast Delivery Services delivery integrations in Canada, and an Uber Eats integration in Ireland and the U.K. Toast will also make Uber its preferred food delivery marketplace for restaurants using its technology globally.
In addition, Uber and Toast will build new tools designed to enable restaurants to attract retain customers, including offers and advertising integrations. These new tools will enable Toast retailers to run and manage promotions and local advertising on the Uber Eats delivery app directly from the Toast platform, with rollout starting in 2026.

Working together on joint initiatives such as bundled offers, the companies aim to grow their shared restaurant delivery base and deliver more revenue at lower cost by providing restaurants with integrated tools and the ability to run first- and third-party ordering channels.
"Toast has built one of the most trusted platforms in restaurant technology, and together we’re making it easier for restaurants to grow on their own terms," said Susan Anderson, global head of delivery for Uber. "By pairing Toast’s powerful POS and operations tools with Uber’s delivery expertise and global scale, we’re helping retailers unlock new revenue with less complexity—and giving diners more ways to discover and enjoy the restaurants they love."
Since 2021, Toast and Uber have partnered to seamlessly deliver orders made through the Uber Eats app. The companies expanded their partnership in 2024, creating an integration between Toast Delivery Services and Uber Direct to allow restaurants across the U.S. to save on delivery fees, expand their delivery radius, and leverage Uber's delivery network.
