TravelCenters of America names retail veteran as CEO
TravelCenters of America (TA) has a new chief executive.
The convenience and fuel chain, part of the BP portfolio, has named Jason Nordin as its new CEO, effective immediately. The move comes after TA’s previous CEO, Debi Boffa, who had served in the role since 2023, departed from the company in October.
Nordin brings more than two decades of leadership experience across retail, operations, and strategic transformation to TA. Most recently, he served as the president of Family Dollar, and was previously chief of stores at Dollar Tree before that.
“Jason’s prior leadership in the travel center industry and in other major retail organizations has prepared him to take on this critical role,” said Greg Franks, BP’s senior VP of mobility and convenience, who was serving as interim CEO following Boffa’s departure. “I’m grateful to Jason for stepping into this opportunity and I’m excited to see how he will help us shape the future of TA.”
Before his stint in the discount retail sector, Nordin spent 12 years at Pilot Company, where he served six years as chief operating officer. In the role, he oversaw more than 23,000 team members across more than 650 travel centers and quick-serve restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
His leadership spanned key operational areas including merchandising, food service, maintenance, and field operations. He also managed Pilot’s dealer and license network of more than 120 locations, giving him a comprehensive view of the travel center ecosystem, according to TA.

“I’m honored to join TA and BP at such a pivotal moment,” said Nordin. “TA has a strong legacy of serving professional drivers and travelers across the country, and I’m excited to work with the team to build on that foundation. The opportunity to help shape the future of fleet mobility and deliver value to our guests and communities is incredibly energizing.”
