    Located on the mall’s second-floor veranda, the 8,500-sq.-ft. store puts a California spin on the brand’s preppy, nautically-inspired heritage. A sunlit glass façade and a central skylight draws natural light into the space. The interior décor includes nostalgia-oriented custom art pieces and graphic prints. A 1964 Volkswagen Bug adds to the atmosphere.

  • ABC Fine Wines & Spirits, Ocala, Fla.

    ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is showing off a new, modern store concept in Ocala, Fla. The contemporary design reflects the retailer’s evolution from the corner liquor store and bar to a 150-plus-store purveyor of fine wine and spirits. It’s also more in sync with the brand’s shifting customer base, which has grown more upscale and increased from 30% to 55% female.

  • The Monocle Order, New York City

    Another pure online retailer has made the leap to brick-and-mortar. The Monocle Order, an online member’s club for sunglasses and optical frames, has opened a flagship in Brooklyn’s uber hip Williamsburg neighborhood.

  • Topshop, Los Angeles

    At nearly 25,000 sq. ft. and with 40-ft. ceilings, the Topshop flagship at the Grove, an open-air center in Los Angeles, is big and bold, with touches of whimsy evident throughout the space.

    The store, which marks the British retailer’s West Coast debut, offers personal shopping and concierge services with private suites and dressing rooms encased by expansive glass walls. It carries the retailer's complete range of product lines including some exclusive to the location. It also houses the Topman brand.

  • Yummy Market, Vaughn, Canada

    Yummy Market, in the Toronto suburb of Vaughn, offers a European-styled shopping experience. The 50,000-sq.-ft. supermarket is focused on prepared foods and imported specialties, and includes a 3,050-sq.-ft. bakery/patisserie with breads, cakes and pastries baked from scratch.
         

  • Uniqlo, Westchester’s Ridge Hill, Yonkers, N.Y.

    Uniqlo has opened its seventh U.S. location to date, in Westchester's Ridge Hill center, in Yonkers, N.Y. The two-level, 24,000-sq.-ft. store is also the retailer's first outdoor lifestyle center location.
