Summer Games debuts at Mall of America
America’s largest mall is kicking-off summer with sports-inspired activities and initiatives.
Mall of America (MOA) is launching Summer Games, a season-long celebration filled with friendly competition, exciting events, and exclusive prizes. Hosted in the mall’s North Atrium, visitors can look forward to a number of activations.
"At Mall of America, we’re all about building our community spirit,” said Jill Renslow, chief business development & marketing officer at Mall of America. “This summer, we’re excited to add our own unique twist to the major sporting event that unites players from across the globe. Let the MOA Summer Games begin!”
Mystery Cards + Sweepstakes
Guests can expect to encounter MOA’s team in various locations, distributing Mystery Cards with values up to $599. They can then discover their prize by visiting a redemption kiosk located in the North Atrium on Level 1. Additionally, stay tuned for sports sweepstakes that offer fans the chance to win exclusive football, baseball, and soccer themed bundles with prizes worth up to $700.
Play at MOA Competitions
MOA invites guests to get their game on with the Play at MOA competition series, where every week brings a new challenge at its attractions. Guests can compete in mini golf at Moose Mountain, test their wits at the Great Big Game Show, race go-karts at The Fair on 4, or scale the heights at ClimbZone. A leaderboard for the competitions will be on display in the Huntington Bank Rotunda. Grand prizes for the big winners include a $150 MOA gift card and attraction-specific rewards.
Events + Entertainment
This summer, MOA is hosting a series of sports and competition themed events, kicking off with an appearance by the infamous Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel. Visitors can look forward to a diverse calendar of activities ranging from the Midwest Yo-yo Championship to fencing lessons. The North Atrium in the mall will be the home of all things Summer Games with festive décor, fun photo ops, and more. Additionally, MOA will continue its partnership with Minnesota Sports and Events to bring the community together in celebration of Minnesota’s sports culture with exciting events and activations this summer.
Mall of America Takeovers
MOA’s Street Team will be showing up throughout the Twin Cities this summer to provide free
experiences. This includes complimentary games at favorite local venues, including golf simulation at THR3 Jack, lawn bowling at Britts Pub, and bowling at Bryant Lake Bowl. These events are MOA’s way of saying thanks to the community.
At 5.6 million sq. ft., Mall of America, located in Bloomington, Minn., is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in North America with up to 520 world-class retail stores and restaurants, and several entertainment attractions.
