Saks Off 5th names four new locations in Canada
Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th continues to expand north of the border.

The off-price retailer and Ivanhoé Cambridge announced an agreement to bring four new Saks Off 5th locations to Canada. The stores, the brand’s first in their respective markets, will open in four Ivanhoé Cambridge shopping centers: Tsawwassen Mills, Tsawwassen, B.C., Outlet Collection Winnipeg; Place Ste-Foy, Quebec City; and Montreal Eaton Centre, Montreal.

Victory Park makes two-sided retail on Victory Park Lane a reality
Dallas -- Trademark Property Co. begins construction on the unfinished parking garage at Victory Park in Dallas.

The construction is part of phase I redevelopment efforts and will add an additional 22,030 sq. ft. of street-level retail and restaurant space to Victory Park, as well as, a 2,600-sq.-ft. second-floor covered patio connected to a signature restaurant at the northeast corner of the garage, making two sided retail on Victory Park Lane a reality with in downtown Dallas. Completion is slated for summer 2016.

Fast-fashion giant to pursue LEED with new Manhattan outpost

Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) is going green for its first store in Lower Manhattan.

The retailer will open a 25,000-sq.-ft. store at Westfield World Trade Center, set to open in spring 2016. It will be H&M’s 17th location in New York City, and its first U.S. store to apply for LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification.
Kimco Realty acquires Christown Spectrum

Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, Ariz. -- Kimco Realty Corp. announced that it purchased Christown Spectrum power center in the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, Arizona for $115.3 million. The property is an 850,000 sq. ft. center situated one mile east of Interstate 17 and lies adjacent to the second-busiest light rail station in Phoenix.
Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust enters into contract to acquire 14 properties

Virginia Beach, Va. -- Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust announced that the company has entered into a contract to acquire 13 properties located in South Carolina and one property located in Georgia from a private third party. The company expects to close on the properties in first quarter 2016 and will use a combination of cash, debt and operating partnership units to acquire the assets.
Nordstrom Rack on the move

Nordstrom Rack, the off-price division of Nordstrom, continues its expansion, announcing two new upcoming locations.

The retailer plans to open a 28,000-sq.-ft. store at Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont, Ill., in fall 2016. The property is owned by Macerich.
Connecticut's first Bass Pro Shops opens in $750M mixed-use Steelpointe Harbor

Bridgeport Landing Development, a subsidiary of The RCI Group announced that Connecticut’s first Bass Pro Shops has opened at Steelpointe Harbor located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The Steelpointe Harbor Bass Pro Shops is a 150,000 sq. ft. store featuring Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl and Grill restaurant, Black Widow Billiards™ parlor complete with two tournament pool tables, a bowling alley with 12 full lanes, an archery range and aquarium.
JTRE Holdings Acquires Retail Co-op in Soho

JTRE Holdings announced it purchased the cooperative shares of the ground floor retail portion of 349 W Broadway in Soho, New York. Adding to its rapidly growing portfolio of commercial and mixed-use assets, the property was acquired for $5 million.
CBL announces community center disposition progress

CBL & Associates Properties announced that it has closed on the disposition of Waynesville Commons, a 128,000 sq. ft. community center located in Waynesville, North Carolina. The property was purchased for $14.5 million by affiliate of Yale Realty Services Corp.
