  • Rhaposdielle to open at Galleria Commons

    Henderson, Nev. -- New York City-based Centro Properties Group said that Rhaposdielle will open in Henderson, Nev.
           
    The new 12,544-sq.-ft. store will debut at Galleria Commons, which is owned by Centro.

  • Carmike Theatre to open at Foothills Mall

    Maryville, Tenn. -- Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties announced plans for a new Carmike Cinema at Foothills Mall, in Maryville, Tenn.
          
    The new theatre will feature 12 screens with state-of-the-art stadium seating and amenities.
           
    A former Belk building will be redeveloped to accommodate the 45,000-sq.-ft. cinema. The existing theatre at Foothills Plaza will remain open during the new construction that is slated to begin this summer.

  • Banana Republic Outlet to open at Arena Hub Plaza

    Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- Metro Commercial announced that it has inked a new lease for Banana Republic Outlet at Arena Hub Plaza, located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

    The new, 7,380-sq.-ft. store is slated to open in fall 2011. Other tenants in the 524,000-sq.-ft. power center include Lowe’s, Best Buy and PetSmart.

  • Citadel Outlets names marketing team

    City of Commerce, Calif. -- Los Angeles outlet shopping mall Citadel Outlets has named a new marketing team.
           
    Traci Markel has been named marketing director and Simone O’Connor has been named marketing and special events manager.  The Citadel marketing team also includes Veronica Garzaro, marketing and domestic tourism manager, and Kristina Carlson, international tourism sales manager.
           

  • Terranova awarded new leasing assignments

    Miami Beach, Fla. -- Terranova Corp. announced it has been awarded new leasing assignments for two south Florida strip centers.
           
    Piper’s Glen Shopping Center in Boynton Beach and Shoppes of Ives Dairy in Miami Gardens have been added to the Terranova leasing portfolio, effective immediately.

  • Metropark closing all stores

    Boston -- Clothing and accessories retailer Metro Park has filed for bankruptcy and is closing all 69 stores nationwide.

    The store closings and liquidations begin on May 6. Gordon Bros. Group and Hilco Merchant Resources are running the going-out-of business sales for the retailer.

    Based in Los Angeles, Metro Park was founded in 2000. Specializing in upscale trendy fashions, Metro Park has been feeling the heat of increased competition from such fast-fashion retailers as H&M.
     

  • LaVida Massage to make Virginia debut Ashburn, Va.

    Ashburn, Va. -- Commerce, Mich.-based LaVida Massage announced it will open its first Virginia location, located at Greenway Corporate Drive, in Ashburn.
          
    The new 3,200-sq.-ft. location is slated to open in early June.

  • Panera Bread to open new Manhattan location

    New York City -- SRS Real Estate Partners said that Panera Bread has leased 6,926 sq. ft. on the ground-floor and basement levels at 120 E. 86th Street in Manhattan.
          
    The lease was arranged by way of a termination with the current tenant, Walgreens, and a new lease execution with Panera.
