  • Pita Pit, Yolicious to open at Orchards Market Center, Phase II

    Vancouver, Wash. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space to Pita Pit and Yolicous, which will open in a 2,032-sq.-ft. space this summer at Orchard Market Center, Phase II, located in Vancouver, Wash.

    The 178,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Wholesale Sports and LA Fitness, alongside national retailers such as Jo-Ann, Office Depot, Petco and Starbucks.

  • Levin Management names exec

    North Plainfield, N.J. -- Levin Management Corp. announced it has promoted Harold Harris from VP to senior VP, effective immediately.

    Harris joined Levin as controller in 1985 and was named CFO in 1990. Responsible for all aspects of finance and lease administration for the company’s management portfolio, Harris also oversees real estate tax and financing reviews, human resources, and risk management.
     

  • Golfsmith to enter D.C. area

    Vienna, Va. -- Golfsmith announced it will open its first metro Washington, D.C., location in Tysons Corner, Va., this June. The new location is part of an aggressive growth strategy for the company.

    Golfsmith’s stores offer an interactive experience, and customers are encouraged to test out clubs and gear inside the store before purchasing. They can also use one of the four custom-fitting studios to test drive new clubs. The company also offers free custom club fitting services.

  • Simon named to lease, manage and market Fox Run Mall

    Newington, N.H. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group said it will assume leasing, management and marketing duties of the Fox Run Mall, located in Newington, N.H., effective May 15.

    The enclosed regional shopping center, built in February 1983, is anchored by Macy’s, J.C. Penney and Sears. Other tenants include Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Express, Loft, Limited, Men’s Wearhouse, American Eagle Outfitters and Victoria’s Secret.

    The center totals 604,000 sq. ft. and is situated on nearly 70 acres.

  • Landmark names project manager

    Woodland Hills, Calif. -- Landmark Retail Group, a subsidiary of NewMark Merrill Cos., announced the appointment of Lauren Wooding as a new project manager for the company.

    Wooding is responsible for overseeing LandMark’s development projects in Northern California. She was previously VP operations and project manager for Aventine Development Corp./Tricor Southwest Corp.
     

  • HomeGoods, Petco to open at Granada Hills

    Granada Hills, Calif. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced that it has leased nearly 39,000 sq. ft. of retail space in Granada Hills, Calif., at Granada Village to two additional anchors, HomeGoods and Petco.

    HomeGoods has leased 27,500 sq. ft. and is slated to open in spring 2012. This is the first store in the market for this home furnishings retailer with the next closest location eight miles away.

    Petco is scheduled to open in 11,350 sq. ft. this fall.

  • America’s Mattress to open at Sherwood Market Center

    Sherwood, Ore. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space to America’s Mattress, which will open a 5,200-sq.-ft. location at Sherwood Market Center, located in Sherwood, Ore.

    The new store, slated to open this summer, will bring the center to 98% leased.

    The 124,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Albertsons, alongside national retailers Supercuts, Baskin Robbins, Massage Envy, Snap Fitness, Chase Bank and GNC.

  • Kidlandia opens FAO Schwarz boutique

    New York City -- Kidlandia, a company that enables children to create such personalized items as maps, kingdoms and family trees, has opened its first in-store boutique at FAO Schwarz in Midtown Manhattan.
