Quiksilver launches shopping app in Europe
Quiksilver customers in select European countries have a new mobile touchpoint.
Boardriders, the parent of specialty surf and snowboard apparel brand Quiksilver, has rolled out a new Quiksilver shopping app on iOS and Android across France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K.
Since its launch in mid-February 2025, the revenue generated by the Quiksilver app has already exceeded initial development costs and is providing a rapid return on investment while confirming mobile as a key touchpoint for its customers.
The app is based on a platform from NewStore, which has an established relationship with Boardriders. Brand owner and management firm Authentic Brands Group purchased Boardriders in 2023.

"We’ve experienced incredible results since launching the Roxy app with NewStore, and the early success we’ve seen with Quiksilver has already proven the value of this continued partnership," said Nur Ghossien Martin, IT direct-to-consumer director at Boardriders. "The rapid ROI speaks to how well these apps resonate with our customers, while the advanced features enhance their shopping experience. NewStore will continue to be a key partner as we advance our digital strategy."
Specific features of the new Quiksilver app include:
- Real-time dynamic push notifications designed to engage customers with promotions, updates, and exclusive campaigns.
- Immersive product lookbooks allowing customers to explore curated collections and make purchases.
- Swipeable brand story content on the home screen to highlight campaigns, new arrivals, and promotions.
- An integrated rewards experience that allows customers to track their customer loyalty profile, apply vouchers at checkout, and unlock exclusive perks.
- Customizable app integrations intended to enable Quiksilver to enhance functionality without complex development.
Liberated Brands, which operates brick-and-mortar stores for Quiksilver and other brands in the U.S. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 2025 and hired Gordon Brothers to oversee inventory liquidation and advise on real estate issues.
"Shopping apps are a critical part of the omnichannel journey, bridging the gap between digital and physical retail to drive business results," said Michael DeSimone, CEO of NewStore. "The success of the Quiksilver app validates this and underscores the unmatched time-to-value of our platform. With NewStore, Boardriders can continue to deliver exceptional experiences across its portfolio of brands."
Boardriders operates the Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, DC Shoes, RVCA, Element, VonZipper, Kustom and Palmers brands. The company’s products are sold in more than 110 countries in a wide range of distribution, including surf shops, skate shops, snow shops, proprietary Boardriders stores and other company‐owned retail stores, select department stores and through various e‐commerce channels.
