Pop Mart is continuing its expansion in the United States, and has made its way to the Windy City.

The Asian toy and collectibles brand will open its first store in Chicago on Oct. 5 at The Shops at North Bridge, a shopping mall located on the famous “Magnificent Mile” commercial corridor.

The new store will mark the 15th Pop Mart store in the U.S., and follows openings earlier this year in Texas, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The brand opened its first store in the U.S. last September at American Dream, the massive 3 million sq.-ft.-plus entertainment and retail center in East Rutherford, N.J.

"We are thrilled to bring our unique retail experience to Chicago,” said Larry Lu, head of Pop Mart North America. “The new pop-up store allows Pop Mart to introduce artist-forward designer toys to the community and provide another way to engage with our loyal fans and collectors across the country. The store marks a significant milestone for Pop Mart as we continue to expand our retail presence in the United States."

Based in Beijing, Pop Mart operates more than 450 stores in more than 30 countries as well as 2,300 Robo Shops (blind box vending machines).
