Customers at Piggly Wiggly Food For Less now have a consistent experience across channels.

The regional Southeastern grocery cooperative, operated through McDaniel Family Investments in Florida, Alabama and Georgia, is upgrading its digital shopping experience while also integrating it with the brick-and-mortar channel using the eGrowcery retail food industry e-commerce platform. Piggly Wiggly Food For Less is deploying features of the eGrowcery solution such as customized search functions, efficient fulfillment and a fully integrated loyalty experience, while also receiving client support.

The retailer hopes that customers will find online shopping to be more consumer-friendly with enhanced performance. Piggly Wiggly Food For Less expects to eGrowcery platform to be fully implemented for all store locations by the end of October, with the goal of providing customers omnichannel ease and convenience.

Other regional grocers have also adopted eGrowcery solutions. Houchens Food Group, which operates grocery, convenience, hardware/DIY and foodservice locations in 14 states, is deploying the eGrowcery retail food industry e-commerce platform in select IGA, Price Less and Food Giant grocery stores.

Leveraging the eGrowcery platform, Houchens Food Group banner- and store-level staff can provide better digital support to in-store shoppers, such as the delivery of targeted, real-time promotional messages.

And Brookshire Brothers, which operates grocery stores in in Texas and Louisiana utilizes Growcery digital tools to offer features for shoppers including integrated coupon clipping and redemption, complex promotions, and enhanced support for two-way conversations between online customers and personal shoppers who select products by hand.

Piggly Wiggly Food For Less, owned and operated by McDaniel Family Investments Inc., is headquartered in Sneads, Fla., and operates 14 supermarket locations in Montgomery, Ala., Central and South Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle.
