Perry Ellis International Inc. is driving online conversions with highly tailored recommendations that are based on artificial intelligence.

The specialty apparel and accessories brand is deploying the Syte AI-based product recommendation engine, which is built specifically to support apparel e-commerce.

As a result, Perry Ellis intends to enhance its online shopping experience with relevant product suggestions that it intends to drive conversions, reduce out-of-stocks, increase average order value and maximize revenue per user.

Perry Ellis seamlessly integrates Syte's recommendation technology across its e-commerce ecosystem, enabling the retailer to surface relevant suggestions wherever customers engage, such as product listing pages and product description pages.

The company is then able to present customers with precisely relevant products, even when specific items are out of stock. In addition, Perry Ellis offers omnichannel fulfillment options such as buy online, pickup in store (BOPIS) and ship-from-store.

"Syte's recommendation engine has been a game-changer for us," said Jay Nigrelli, executive VP of direct to consumer at Perry Ellis. "Our customers can find what they're looking for faster, and we're seeing measurable improvements in metrics like average order value and customer satisfaction. This partnership allows us to offer an intuitive, enjoyable shopping experience, and we look forward to deepening our relationship with Syte as we continue to innovate."

According to Perry Ellis, it is able to optimize key e-commerce metrics like conversion rate, bounce rate, and basket size.
