Perry Ellis streamlines checkout

7/24/2019
Vertical specialty apparel retailer Perry Ellis International is speeding up the final, and crucial, step of the in-store shopping experience.

Perry Ellis has converted from an older version of the Oracle Retail Point-of-Service solution to the new Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service (POS) platform.

Leveraging Oracle Retail Xstore, Perry Ellis is delivering faster store transactions for both customers and associates.

The POS solution’s intuitive interface speeds up previously manual tasks, such as applying discounts, and offers a live view of inventory. This in-store assortment transparency enables associates to better help customers find merchandise. In addition, a mobile component for tablets allows Perry Ellis to leverage flexible mobile payment options to serve customers from anywhere in the store.

The retailer partnered with system integrator/developer BTM Global to complete the migration to Xstore and its implementation, as well as the customization and integration of various merchandising applications, in less than four months.

Milan, Italy-based vertical women’s apparel retailer is also speeding up transactions and creating in-store inventory visibility with Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service, with a focus on mobile. Twinset is deploying Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service software on associate-facing tablets.

As a result, Twinset associates have real-time, mobile access to inventory visibility and customer data, and can perform seamless transactions. For example, from a tablet, an associate can pull up a customer’s recent transactions to get a sense of their style and make suggestions on new merchandise. An employee can also order an out-of-stock item from the website and have it shipped directly to the customer with no hassle.
