  • Domino’s names executives including new marketing head

    Ann Arbor, Mich. - Domino's Pizza has announced several key internal leadership appointments and promotions, including naming Joe Jordan, 41, as VP and chief marketing officer.

    Jordan has been with Domino's since 2011 when he began serving as the VP of marketing innovation. Most recently, Jordan was VP of field marketing where he spearheaded the realignment of interdisciplinary resources to better support franchisees at the local level. Prior to Domino's, he held marketing roles at Accenture, Philips, Unilever and PepsiCo Inc.

  • 99 Cents Only names former Kmart exec as interim president/CEO

    City of Commerce, Calif. - 99 Cents Only Stores has named Andrew Giancamilli, chairman of the company’s board of directors, as interim president and CEO, replacing Stéphane Gonthier, who has resigned.

  • Michael Kors names Hugo Boss executive as menswear VP

    London - Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. has named Marcel Ostwald to the newly created role of senior VP, menswear. Ostwald spent the last 11 years at Hugo Boss, where his most recent title was senior head of creative management and concept design for Boss Sportswear.

    Ostwald’s appointment, effective Aug. 1, fills a key role in Michael Kors’ growing menswear business. Ostwald will work closely with Michael Kors and Mark Brashear, president of menswear, in developing the creative brand strategy and product vision for the men’s division.

  • Amazon seeks 6,000 new fulfillment employees

    Seattle – Amazon.com is hiring for more than 6,000 full-time jobs across its U.S. fulfillment network to meet growing customer demand. Employees will pick, pack and ship customer orders.

  • Wendy’s opens IT innovation center

    Dublin, Ohio – The Wendy’s Company is the latest retail chain to open a dedicated technology center. Wendy’s has launched 90 Degrees Labs near the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

  • LivingSocial names Sears, Walgreens veteran as CFO

    Washington, D.C. – Online marketplace LivingSocial appointed Atul Kavthekar as CFO. He will join the company in June, and will report to president and CEO Gautam Thakar.
     
  • Bigcommerce, PayPal team up for small-to-mid-sized retail payment

    San Francisco – E-commerce platform Bigcommerce teamed up with Braintree and PayPal to offer an end-to-end ecommerce solution that makes it easier to launch and grow an online store. As part of the collaboration, Bigcommerce merchants will also get access to PayPal’s One Touch for web and mobile, enabling shoppers to pay across more than 90,000 online stores in a single touch, without needing to enter user IDs or passwords after their first login.

  • Chico’s CEO to retire in spring 2016

    Fort Myers, Fla. – Chico’s FAS announced that CEO and president David F. Dyer intends to retire in spring 2016, at the end of the company’s fiscal year.

    He will remain in his current role until a successor is appointed, and will remain on the board in the newly-created role of vice chairman until June 2016. The women’s specialty apparel retailer has retained executive search firm Herbert Mines Associates to assist in finding a new chief executive.
