Indianapolis -- Finish Line announced that Terry Ledbetter has been appointed CIO, effective April 14. Most recently, he served as VP information technology, Dick’s Sporting Goods.

In other appointments, the chain said that Donald J. Gualdoni has been appointed VP business development and corporate strategy, effective April 14.

Indianapolis -- Finish Line said Monday that the president of its e-commerce division will retire.

Don Courtney will depart following a transition period, remaining in his current role during the retailer’s search for his successor.

New York City -- Lexlie Wexner, 73, the CEO and founder of Limited Brands, received a 2010 pay package nearly double the year before, according to an analysis by The Associated Press. The increase came as business improved for the parent of Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works.

Wexner's total compensation totaled $20.1 million, up from $10.4 million in 2009, because of a hefty increase in stock and option awards and a higher performance-based bonus.

Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Sears on Monday announced the expansion of beauty to more than 100 Sears locations and Sears.com.

The new cosmetics departments will include beauty products from such well-known brands as L'Oreal, Maybelline, Revlon and CoverGirl, in a range of hues for every woman. Additionally, beauty advisers staffing the departments will offer makeup tips and advice to customers who desire assistance in perfecting their look.

New York City -- A judge ruled Thursday that a San Diego pro-gay marriage group can continue canvassing outside of Target stores in California, the Associated Press reported. However, protestors must stay 30 ft. away from store entrances and canvass at just one entrance at a time.

The retailer had sought an injunction barring the activists from every outlet in the state, alleging they harass customers by cornering them near store entrances to discuss gay marriage, solicit donations and collect signatures on petitions.

New York City -- Tiffany & Co. CEO Michael Kowalski received a pay package worth nearly $7.1 million for 2010, a 13% increase over 2009, according to a report by the Associated Press.

A Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday showed that Michael J. Kowalski, 59, received a base salary of $958,957 and a performance-based bonus of nearly $1.6 million.
 
The bulk of his award came in the form of stock and option grants worth $4.4 million when they were granted.

New York City -- A poll released Thursday by Harris Interactive named Target Corp. as its Value Retail Brand of the Year.

According to the 2011 Harris Poll EquiTrend Study, Target has the strongest consumer brand equity among retail brands. Overall, awards are given in each of 46 different categories.

This is the second consecutive year Target has led the way in the Value Retail category, with the gap between runner-up Wal-Mart increasing.  

Kearney, Neb. -- The Buckle announced Thursday that its CFO will step down by February 2012.

Giving no reason for the planned departure, the teen retailer said that CFO Karen Rhoads will continue in her position through the completion of the fiscal year, which ends Jan. 28, 2012, unless a new CFO is found before then.

The company said Rhoads plans to continue to serve on the board of directors.
