Westlake Ace Hardware names chief marketer

LENEXA, Kan. Westlake Ace Hardware has named David Patrick as senior vp and the company's first chief marketing officer. Patrick will lead the company's brand strategy and marketing functions, including consumer research, advertising, public relations and all communications.

"David brings to Westlake a thorough understanding of retail marketing and great expertise in brand development," said George Smith, ceo of Westlake Ace Hardware.  ?We believe he will be a tremendous asset and provide excellent marketing strategy for the company."

Most recently Patrick served as the first vp of marketing for Beauty Brands Salon Spa Superstore, where he oversaw marketing and brand strategy for the company's 51 locations in 11 states.
