Walmart.com touts back-to-college deals

BRISBANE, Calif. Walmart.com is looking to entice college students to shop for their dorm or apartment needs on the site by offering incentives like free shipping with Site to Store and free $10 online gift cards.

The $10 gift card is awarded when purchasing the Flip Video Mino, a small digital camcorder, for $149.

Walmart.com is also offering special deals on laptops, bedding sets and apparel.

"It's easy to recognize how quickly the savings add up for back-to-college this year when you combine our online prices with additional values such as free Site to Store shipping as well as our special online offers, including a free $10 online gift card and bonus accessory with purchase of the new Flip Video Mino," said Cathy Halligan, Walmart.com chief marketing officer.
