Sears, Rebuilding Together partner to help veterans
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Sears announced that it is partnering with Rebuilding Together to renovate the Eddie Beard Veterans Home in Chicago on May 16.
The retailer is excepting donations through July 6 in stores and at Sears.com/heroesathome. The donations will support the rehabilitation of homes for veterans and military families across the country.
"This weekend we're launching Sears' 'Patriot Season' in which our staff, associates and our customers demonstrate their commitment to the military through the ongoing Heroes at Home builds and donations," said Don Hamblen, Sears' chief marketing officer. "The need for America's heroes has never been greater and our customers want to show their appreciation to those who serve. By offering the option of giving both online and in-store, Sears hopes to inspire our customers to partner with us and help these deserving military families."
