Report: Kohl's expects online business to rise 30%
New York City Kohl's Corp. expects Internet sales to climb at least 30% this year as it boosts advertising through sites including AOL.com., Bloomberg News said.
Kohl's plans to increase Internet advertising by 25% this holiday shopping season, according to the report, and has stepped up radio and direct-mail advertising, and is sponsoring home pages at AOL.com, MSN.com and Yahoo.com during some merchandise promotions. The chain's Facebook site, launched in May, has about 750,000 members, and is expected to count 1 million by year-end.
