Post Foods launches 'feel good' social site

8/6/2012

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Post Foods has launched PostGoodness.com, a social website dedicated to positivity and simply helping others have a great day. PostGoodness.com will serve as a community, connecting users through good news and inspiration. People are invited to log on daily to share their good intentions or thoughts of motivation to help to set them on the right track for the day. Each time someone shares his or her good intention, it will be added to a dynamic grid, inviting "likes", comments, support and shares from other users. Posted intentions can also be shared through other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, so users can share their positive intentions with their existing social media communities.

"We believe good days start with good intentions, and this site allows users to log on and share theirs, and maybe even motivate others," said Tony Shurman, VP marketing for Post Foods. "As a company with a long and rich history in nourishing bodies, we are excited to do something that helps inspire positive thinking, as well."

In addition to sharing and reading good intentions, PostGoodness.com features the Goodness Forecast, a positivity barometer displaying the amount of goodness throughout the country. The Goodness Forecast is based on factors such as weather, news and economic matters, in addition to events generating local excitement, such as the arrival of the county fair or a sports team reaching the playoffs. The Goodness Forecast showcases a score for each geographic region of the United States, as well as the following media markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Seattle, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami, Denver, Cleveland, St. Louis, Charlotte, San Diego, Salt Lake City and San Antonio.
