Lumbard promoted at 20th Century Fox
NEW YORK Carl Lumbard has been promoted to the newly created position of senior vp and managing director of Fox L&M, 20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising announced Monday.
"After joining Fox in 1998, I am proud to look back at what has been achieved over the years and how this relatively new division has developed into the global licensing powerhouse it is today,” commented Carl Lumbard. “The past ten years have been both challenging and rewarding, and I now look forward to the next chapter of my career with Fox. With the support of the new strong team around me, we will be forging ahead with new property development, strategic licensing and retail partnerships. We continually look for new ways to broaden our comprehensive licensed property portfolio – both expanding and maturing existing properties, along with the establishment of new ones. “
Joining Fox in 1998, with over a decade of previous media experience (including Pearson PLC and the BBC), Carl has been involved in the establishment and continued growth of a wide number of areas within the Fox L&M European division. He was recruited as marketing and retail director, with the task of expanding Fox’s business in the licensing industry and developing The Simpsons brand across Europe. Progressing to European sales director, he was appointed to managing director six years ago.
