Lord & Taylor adds chief marketer position

NEW YORK Lord and Taylor has added a new position in the form of senior vp and chief marketing officer, to be filled by Roger Adams, Jane Elfers, Lord and Taylor's president and ceo, announced. Adams duties include brand management, creative and media services, consumer relationship management, market research, consumer insights, Internet marketing and sales promotion. Adams will report to Elfers.

"Roger's deep experience in growing sales, growing brands and developing relationships will be invaluable to the continued success of Lord and Taylor. We welcome Roger to the team."

Adams most recently served as the chief marketing officer for The Home Depot. He also worked with Pepsi-Cola, Nabisco, Keebler and General Motors.
