Jo-Ann marks the big 7-0 with sweepstakes

HUDSON, Ohio — Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is turning 70, and to mark the special anniversary the specialty fabric and craft retailer is launching a “Share Your Story” sweepstakes on its Facebook page.

Customers share their favorite Jo-Ann memories and each week, from July 28 through August 19, two random entrants will be chosen to win $100 Jo-Ann gift cards for a total of six winners. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

The company is also holding a celebratory Simple Sunday event from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at all Jo-Ann stores nationwide except for the Paramus, N.J. location. Crafters will be able to create handmade gift tags and share their custom creations with friends and family members. Supplies are limited, so the retailer encourages crafters to show up early.

“As a way to thank our customers for 70 years of inspiration and loyalty, we have special savings, a free Make It-Take It event and a ‘Share Your Story’ sweepstakes on Facebook among other exciting surprises planned,” said Chris DiTullio, VP, advertising and marketing. “Hosting a free crafting event for customers to make handmade gift tags to use when they share their projects is the perfect way to celebrate the 70 years since our founding.”
