Idol finalist lends voice to Barbie soundtrack

NEW YORK American Idol runner up Katherine McPhee is featured in the soundtrack to the "Barbie & The Diamond Castle" musical movie. The singer provides an exclusive performance of her song "Connected" for the CD.

In addition to McPhee's track, the CD features eleven other songs from the DVD movie and other tracks from popular Barbie films. The CD debuts in stores on Sept. 12.
