  • Cybera deploys payment solution to 20K retailers

    New York – Network and application security services provider Cybera, Inc. has reached 20,000 deployments of its payment application defined network (ADN) solution. An AND is an enterprise data network using virtual network and security components to provide a dedicated logical network for each application, with customized security and network policies to meet the requirements of that specific application.

  • Jones Group selects VeriFone for payment system upgrade, mobile payment

    New York -- VeriFone Systems announced that The Jones Group Inc. has selected VeriFone solutions to enable mobile payment acceptance and enhance customer experience for its internationally recognized brands, including Jones New York and Nine West.

    VeriFone will upgrade the brands’ payment environments with its PAYware Mobile e210 mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) solution and the MX 915, an NFC-enabled, multi-media payment terminal.
     

  • First Data: Strong holiday shopping boosted December spending growth

    Atlanta -- First Data Corp., in its SpendTrend analysis for December, reported that dollar volume grew 6.1%, which marked a significant spike compared to November’s growth of 4.4% as holiday shoppers were out in full force with no time to procrastinate due to the shortened holiday shopping season.

    SpendTrend tracks same-store point-of-sale data by credit, signature debit, PIN debit, EBT, closed-loop prepaid cards and checks from nearly four million U.S. merchant locations serviced by First Data.

  • Publix Super Markets selects Applied Data Corp. Software system

    Tampa, Fla. -- Applied Data Corporation (ADC), a provider of fresh item management (FIM), recipe management and scales management software to the grocery retail and food service industries, announced that Publix Super Markets, Lakeland, Fla., has completed implementation of InterScale, ADC’s Scales Management Software system, into all of their stores.
