  • Order ahead at Jamba Juice

    Emeryville, Calif. -- Jamba Juice is making it more convenient for customers to get their smoothies.

    The chain announced that consumers will now be able to skip the line at over 200 stores where the retailer will be rolling out the first phase of its new mobile order-ahead app. The new smartphone tool is available on the Jamba Juice app.

  • RetailNext: Fewer shoppers but more commitment in July

    San Jose, Calif. – We live in an age where commitments seem to mean less and less, but consumers notably bucked that trend with their shopping habits in July 2015.

    According to an analysis of July 2015 U.S. retail sales by store analytics provider RetailNext, sales per shopper rose 4.7% year-over-year, showing increased shopper commitment.

  • Hhgregg off to not so solid start

    The CEO of hhgregg says his company is off to a “solid start” despite first quarter numbers that clearly show otherwise.

    The retailer reported that for the first quarter ended June 30, net sales decreased 6.6% to $441.1 million compared to prior year first quarter. Same store sales decreased 6.3% compared to the prior year first quarter. Revenue for the quarter came in at $441.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $445.99 million. And net loss per diluted share was $0.32 versus net loss per diluted share of $0.36 in the prior year first quarter.

    An instant-wins promotion almost doubled new Coney Bucks registrations over the average previous months' registrations. National Coney Island replaced its coupon-based advertising program with the Coney Bucks rewards program, which is built on the Paytronix Rewards Platform.

    Camp Hill, Pa. – The temperature wasn’t the only thing rising at Rite Aid stores during July 2015.

    Same-store sales rose 2.4%, with front-end same store sales increasing 0.1%. Pharmacy same-store sales, which included an approximate 2.21% negative impact from new generic introductions, increased 3.4%.
