  • Target further incentivizes customers to shop online

    Target is giving customers added incentive to shop online by offering free shipping for all orders of $50 or more.

    The new policy, which takes effect immediately, excludes oversize and heavy items, which will be subject to a handling fee.

    Suburban Atlanta will be home to Keurig Green Mountain’s new manufacturing facility used to produce new cold products resulting from its new partnership with Coca-Cola.

  • dd’s Discounts to open first New Jersey store

    Dublin, Calif. -- dd’s Discounts, a division of Ross Stores, will open its first store in New Jersey, in the town of Ewing, on June 28.

    Including this new location, dd’s Discounts will operate approximately 140 locations in 11 states. The company is on schedule to complete its expansion plan to open approximately 20 locations in 2014.

    Together, Ross Dress for Less and dd’s Discounts currently operate over 1,300 off-price apparel and home fashion stores in 33 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.

  • Walmart.com welcomed in Indiana

    The Indianapolis suburb of Plainview will be home to Walmart’s newest dedicated e-commerce fulfillment center when the 1.2 million-sq.-ft. facility opens early next year.

    The retailer indicated in early June that Indiana would be home to its third e-commerce fulfillment center but did not identify the community at the time. Walmart’s other online dedicated centers are located in Texas and Pennsylvania. The newest facility will employ approximately 300 people with hiring expected to begin in October.

    New York -- Walmart will open a new dedicated e-commerce fulfillment, in the Indianapolis suburb of Plainview. The1.2 million-sq.-ft. facility is expected to open in early 2015.

    Walmart’s other online dedicated centers are located in Texas and Pennsylvania.

  • 99¢ Only Stores signs 615,000-sq.-ft. industrial lease

    Commerce, Calif. — 99¢ Only Stores has signed a lease for the entire 615,000-sq.-ft. Garfield Corporate Center in Commerce, California, in Los Angeles County. It is the largest industrial infill lease ever signed in Los Angeles County. In addition, the building ranks as the largest freestanding building to be constructed in Greater Los Angeles in the past 10 years.
