  • Opus announces final tenant for Phase I of Shoppes at Fox River

    Milwaukee -- The Milwaukee office of Opus Development Corp. said that Hallmark Gold Crown will occupy the final space of its Shoppes at Fox River Phase I retail development in Waukesha, Wis.

    The addition of Hallmark makes the 273,000-sq.-ft. Phase I 100% occupied, including a 132,000-sq.-ft. Target and a 60,000-sq.-ft. LEED-Silver certified Pick ‘n Save grocery store.

  • Tuesday Morning to relocate to Ventana Village

    Tucson, Ariz. -- Commercial Retail Advisors said that Tuesday Morning will be relocating a store to the neighborhood center Ventana Village.

    The new, 10,000-sq.-ft. Tuesday Morning store is slated to open on Aug. 1.

    Ventana Village is anchored by Bashas' Marketplace.
     

  • Davaco expands operations into Canada

    Dallas -- Davaco announced that the company has set up an operational division in Canada that can support global consumer brands with multi-unit programs in every province throughout Canada.

    Davaco established its office near Toronto in 2011 to service immediate client needs, and is now available to provide services for additional clients in the growing Canadian marketplace.

  • Retail real estate’s biggest show kicks off

    Las Vegas -- On Monday morning, RECon 2012, the International Council of Shopping Centers’ annual retail real estate convention in Las Vegas, kicks off with an expected 31,000+ attendees from around the globe.

    Running through Wednesday, May 23, RECon will encompass three halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center – or over 1 million sq. ft. – with more than 1,000 companies exhibiting and highlights such as The Cities of the World Pavilion and a keynote presentation by Leslie H. Wexner, founder of Limited Brands.
     

  • Subway plans 1,200 stores for 2012, making deals at RECon

    Milford, Conn. -- Sandwich mega-chain Subway said Friday that it has set 2012 development goals of 1,200 North American locations and, toward that end, said a large contingent of company representatives will be in attendance at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ RECon event in Las Vegas, May 20-23.

  • Silver Jeans Co. to expand U.S. store presence, names head of retail

    Winnipeg, Manitoba -- Canadian denim company Silver Jeans Co. said Thursday it will expand its branded stores in the United States, and has created a new retail division to execute the strategy.

    Silver Jeans Co. said it will launch the plan with a new store opening in early 2013, joining the only store currently open here at Park Meadows Mall in Denver.

  • Divaris names head of Washington, D.C., office

    Rockville, Md. -- Divaris Real Estate, Virginia Beach, Va., said that Joseph Farina has been named manager of the firm’s Washington, D.C., regional office located in Rockville, Md.

    Farina will focus on commercial sales and leasing services to support the expansion of DRE’s portfolio of leased and managed properties in the greater D.C., metropolitan area. 

  • The Tile Shop to open New York store

    New York -- Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said it has negotiated a 21,191-sq.-ft. lease for The Tile Shop in Scarsdale, N.Y., in affluent Westchester County.

    The new store, slated to open this summer, is the retailer’s first in the area.
