  • Convenience store retailer deploys VeriFone interactive marketing system

    Atlanta -- VeriFone Systems announced that Holiday Oil of West Valley, Utah, has completed a chain wide rollout of its in-store marketing solution, LiftRetail.

    The solution uses POS-connected digital screens to engage each shopper with relevant offers and coupons. Additionally, it analyzes each item in a shopper’s basket in real-time to make the right offer to the right shopper at the right time. The result is a proven increase in sales, delighted shoppers, and empowered cashiers.
     

  • Kmart, Sears gear up for holiday season

    Kmart is kicking off the holiday shopping season with the launch of a new lease-to-own program in time for Black Friday.

    Kmart said it would launch the program through Whynot Leasing and make it available nationwide starting on Nov. 22. Sears, also part of parent company Sears Holdings, also is launching the program, making it available for more than 95 million items via Sears Marketplace, including electronics, home goods, jewelry and tools, as well as major brands and boutique items.

  • Domino’s delivers strong Q3 results

    Ann Arbor, Mich. – Domino’s Pizza, Inc. reported significant increases in net income, revenues and same-store sales during the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Net income was up 17.9% for the third quarter compared to the prior year period, from $26 million to $30.6 million.

  • GE Capitol and Penney extend credit card program

    Stamford, Conn. -- GE Capital Retail Bank announced a long-term extension of its private label and dual card credit program with J.C. Penney Co.

    Launched in 1999, the credit card program is managed by GE Capital’s Retail Finance business and available for purchases at any of the nearly 1,100 J.C. Penney stores across the United States and Puerto Rico.

  • Famous Footwear unveils free app

    Famous Footwear has unveiled a free app for iPhone and Android that offers shoppers instant access to savings they can earn through Famous Footwear’s rewards program, as well as exclusive mobile discounts and offers. The app allows users to plan, shop and track their purchases, and redeem their rewards points from their mobile device.

  • Sears, Kmart expand Shop Your Way services for holidays

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. – Sears and Kmart are offering members of the Shop Your Way loyalty program a variety of new services for the holidays. For example, Kmart's lease-to-own program through Whynot Leasing, LLC will be available nationwide starting Nov. 22, giving customers a no-credit-required way to take home products immediately.

    Columbus, Ohio -- DSW Inc. is opening of a new store in Greenville, S.C. on October 17. As of May 18, 2013, DSW operates 377 stores in 42 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, as well as 348 leased departments for other retailers in the U.S. under the Affiliated Business Group.
