  • Schuh Group acquisition cuts into Genesco Q2 earnings

    Nashville, Tenn. – Deferred expenses related to its 2011 purchase of Scotland-based Schuh Group, as well as a change in accounting for bonus for awards, reduced net income at Genesco Inc. to $4.8 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2015, down 43% from the same quarter the previous year.

  • Gap returning to television with ‘Dress Normal’ campaign

    New York -- Gap is returning to television. The brand debuted four commercials that will air on TV, in cinema, in stores and online. Created by Academy Award-nominated director David Fincher, the films were created with Wieden+Kennedy New York as part of Gap's new marketing campaign, Dress Normal. The TV campaign launches in the United States and United Kingdom in the week of Sept. 1.

  • Prasino at the Streets of St. Charles changing ownership

    Peoria, Ill. -- Cullinan Properties announced that Prasino Restaurant at the Streets of St. Charles near St. Louis is in the process of securing new ownership by a group of investors.

    Prasino opened at the Streets of St. Charles on April 22, 2013, and has been listed as “The Best New Restaurants in St. Louis” and awarded “A-List Breakfast Winner” for its Paris Benedict, by St. Louis Magazine.

  • Pine Tree acquires Poplar-Prairie Stone Crossing

    Chicago -- Pine Tree Commercial Realty has acquired Poplar-Prairie Stone Crossing, a class-A power shopping center located in the Northwest Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The recent acquisition is Pine Tree’s 70th and brings the company’s current portfolio to 3.4 million sq. ft. in 19 separate properties.

    The 312,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is shadow-anchored by Target and features TJ Maxx, Michaels, Ross Dress for Less, PetSmart, Lane Bryant, and Sports Authority.

  • BitPay becomes Demandware LINK tech partner

    BitPay, a payment service provider (PSP) specializing in e-commerce, B2B and enterprise solutions for the bitcoin digital currency, has become a Demandware LINK Technology Partner.

    BitPay will be joining a community committed to accelerating the adoption of innovative commerce technologies that are complementary to the Demandware Commerce platform. Demandware’s clients will now be able to easily add bitcoin as a form of payment via BitPay’s development of a pre-built integration between its payment processing services and the Demandware Commerce platform.

    St. Petersburg, Fla. – HSN Inc. is running "The Fashion Edit," the company's annual fall fashion series, now through Sept. 24. The retailer is partnering with a number of celebrity designers, including Kelly Osbourne, June Ambrose and Emma Fox.
